I am excited to be joining the team at Shifa Medical Clinic.

I would like to acknowledge that it is a honour to currently work, live and play on the traditional, ancestral and unceded shared territories of the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ’ən̓ [Kwantlen], kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Semiahmoo and sc̓əwaθən məsteyəxʷ (Tsawwassen) First Nations, and the home of the Surrey-Delta Métis Association.

Since, January 2020, I have been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Indigenous Primary Health and Wellness Clinics for Fraser Health Authority. Prior to 2020, I was a critical care RN working in the Intensive Care Unit at Vancouver General Hospital.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?
 A nurse practitioner is an advanced practice nurse (APN) that is licensed and credentialed in the classification of Nurse Practitioner with our regulatory body, the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
 Nurse Practitioners (NPs) provide comprehensive clinical care including diagnosis and management of disease and illness, prescribing medications, ordering and interpretating laboratory and diagnostic tests, and initiating referrals to specialists as needed.
 NPs are autonomous providers that do not require physician supervision
